Omakase in Honolulu
When I was younger, I was always reluctant to try sushi or anything related to the style. When I finally tried it in my early 30s, I wondered why the hell I had waited so long!
Omakase, which translates to ‘Chef’s choice,’ is truly a culinary experience. Brooke and I were fortunate to experience it at one of the top 10 Omakase restaurants in the country. During our January 2022 trip to Honolulu, we enjoyed our first Omakase and were blown away. An extra special element was our good friend, Michael Kurtzman, who knew we were going and ordered a bottle of amazing sake to be ready upon our arrival as a gift. It was a really spectacular evening.
